This location, at the corner of U.S. 1 and North Street in Foxborough, has one building with two stores: a McDonald's, and the so-called Country Store. Even the sign proclaims that it is a McDonald's-Country Store, where you can get flowers and a Mega-Millions lottery ticket. Another sign says, "We have it! Snacks - Lottery - Phone Cards - Beer - Wine - & More - Enjoy Fresh Hot Coffee!"
The building was likely only a McDonald's, first, then the owners wanted to branch out to get more of the football crowd on their way to Gillette Stadium to watch a New England Patriots football game. The McDonald's is like any other McDonald's restaurant, and the Country Store is like any convenience store that has a beer and wine license. Now, the kicker - you can pass through between them without going outside!
I did not check, but I doubt that you can buy beer or wine in the Country Store, bring into the McDonald's eating area and consume it with a burger there. However, one can imagine ordering a meal and the person behind the counter saying, "Do you want a large McBeer or McWine with that?"
