The chair is 42'1' tall and 20'3" wide. It stands next to the The Outpost General Store, 4 miles west of Cuba, MO in Fanning, MO. It is on Route 66. The Guinness Certificate is dated September, 2008, and Dan Sanazaro received his certificate in February, 2009.

The chair was the idea of Dan Sanazaro, the owner of The Outpost. It was designed by John Bland. Joe Medwick, a welder, built it. It was lifted into place on April 1, 2008, and Joe Medwick cut and welded it into place.

It is black and white and estimated to weigh 27,500 pounds. The Outpost website is www.fanning66outpost.com. There are short videos on utube of the rocker. There is one video of the chair rocking. They cut the welds, rocked the chair, then re-welded. This was done for the Guinness World Record application process.
