This building is dated 1904 and was once the Ashe County Courthouse, located in this mountain community of Jefferson.

The building is now being renovated and brought back to its original state and will be housing the Museum of Ashe County History. After speaking with the curator of the museum he told us they would be moving into the old courthouse by April of this year.
