Water towers have been a regular part of Movie Studio lots since the early part of the 20th century.
It is hard to find a studio lot without a water tower.
This here is the Disney Water Tower in Burbank, CA. You don't have to go on set to see this tower. It can be viewed from many locations, including this spot where I took these pictures, right outside the studio.
