This work was commissioned from Rich Peterson by the Santa Barbara County Arts Commission. It's installed in a small plaza in front of the County Administration building. Due to its location, it cannot be walked through - it is not a literal gate - but its open egg shape seems to symbolize an entrance to a new era.
