I have kayaked fished this section of Chopawamsic Creek for Striper in the fall. Has to be a freat place to take a wheelchair bound fisherman. Lots of tidal flow in and out so check your charts. MCB and VA license required to shore fish.
Anglers 16 to 64 years of age, must also possess a Marine Corps Base Quantico fishing license. Base fishing licenses are currently sold at the Sporting Goods Counter in the Marine Corps Exchange. The annual base fishing license costs $10 and is valid from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31. Individuals 15 years of age or younger, 65 years of age or older, or having a permanent disability are not required to buy a base fishing license.
