At its opening in 1921, this 691-seat theater was the focal point in this small town. The Geitner family owned a number of theaters in towns along Route 20 in New York. This one carried the family name. The building is no longer used as a theater. It has been renamed Backline with a wooden sign hung over the building's name in stone. The Backline is a teen club on the weekend and a fitness center during the week.
