PB0192 - USCGS WX22, Oregon - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

This benchmark bolt is located along the old Bend-Burns Road about 6.3 miles west of Millican. The bolt is set in a boulder near the west base of a large juniper about 120 feet north of road centerline, about 700 feet east of a cross road. The bolt was set by the U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey in 1920.

ABOUT 6.3 MILES WEST ALONG THE OLD BEND-BURNS ROAD FROM THE RUINS OF THE OLD POST OFFICE AT MILLICAN, DESCHUTES COUNTY, ABOUT 700 FEET EAST OF THE JUNCTION OF THE CHINA HAT ROAD, ABOUT 120 FEET NORTH OF THE MAIN ROAD, NEAR A LONE JUNIPER TREE, AND IN A ROCK OUTCROP. A GALVANIZED-IRON BOLT.
