This Confederate Memorial, dedicated on Aug. 8, 1908, has a later tablet honoring James H. Berry. This is a Granite Monument, 20 feet tall, with a Confederate Soldier at parade rest. The word "Confederate" appears on all 4 sides of the memorial.
Carved on Side 1:
To The Southern Soldiers
Erected by A.J. Bates and the James H. Berry Chapter United Daughters of the Confederacy Aug. 8, 1908

Carved on Side 2:
Their Names are Borne on Honor's Shield.
Their Record is with God.

Carved on Side 3:
They Fought for Home and Fatherland.

Carved on Side 4:
1861 - 1865
