This is one of two municipal tanks in Madera this is the older and smaller one of the two. It is also a geocache location and a Benchmark.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1943 (JCS) THIS INTERSECTION STATION IS THE APEX OF THE MADERA MUNICIPAL WATERWORKS TANK IN MADERA. THE TANK IS ELEVATED, ABOUT 110 FEET HIGH, AND PAINTED SILVER. IT IS ABOUT 50 YARDS SW OF SOUTH D STREET AND 20 YARDS SE OF AN EXTENSION OF SEVENTH STREET, WHICH DOES NOT CONTINUE THROUGH. INTERSECTED FROM MADERA, EL PECO, BERENDA.
