This particular Nitro girl was once called the Uniroyal girl and is featured in a very nice article on the Roadside America
Web Site.
"In 1965 Ed Werbany bought a fiberglass giantess Uniroyal Gal for $300 and stationed her outside of his tire store in Hilltop, NJ. Nicknamed "The Doll," she originally wore a bikini. Ed changed her outfit to a green skirt and teal top, in deference to Jackie Kennedy, who she resembled.
Now, 40 years later, Ed's son has engineered the transformation of Jackie into Nitro Girl. He has inadvertently created America's first superhero giantess. Uniroyal Gals have been modified into waitresses, cheerleaders, go-go girls, and a host of sexy Sirens, but never a woman with a headband and a cape.
"
Finally, you gotta go to this SITE and read all about this gal and the others who were manufactured like her. You didn't actually think she was an only child? Here is a taste from that website:
"Miss Uniroyal is an 18' tall International Fiberglass statue. The "Big Broad" (as the tire guys used to call her) is protected from high winds with two chains from her shoulders to an overhead pole. The owners say they were offered $6,000 for her but they turned it down. She was previously in Lancaster, PA and has been here since 1965. In 2007, she was repainted and transformed into Nitro Gal (photos in bottom row). "Nitro" refers to the nitrogen tire inflation system that Werbayn's uses."
