Ezzell's Breakfast House is a new diner here in Wilmington, NC located at the intersection of Stadium Drive and Carolina Beach Road right next door to the Legion Stadium. Their location is about 3 miles south on Carolina Beach Road from the Downtown Wilmington Historic District and 14 miles from the beach. So if you're visiting Wilmington then Ezzell's will be on your way to the beach if you decide to go visit Carolina or Kure Beach.
Ezzell's just opened in January 2009. They're open 24 hours except on Sunday when they close at 5pm and reopen on Monday at 6am.
They have 2 breakfast specials. My favorite is the 2-2-2 which is 2 pancakes, 2 eggs and 2 bacon for only....$3.39. Amazing price and great food! Seating is limited to about 6 booths, a long bar with stools and in the front they have a community table where you can sit with others that you don't know as long as there's an open seat. The wait staff are very friendly and you never have to wait for a menu since it's your place mat on the table.
This location for years was a restaurant named La Fondita Authentic Mexican Restaurant which can be seen in the background of a movie named "20 Funerals".
