This thing is in the middle of nowhere. If you use Google Earth and have checked off the appropriate options you will see why this is called the crossroads benchmark. The posted coordinates, on Google Earth, lie dead center of the three intersecting points. INcidentally, it is also part of a really neat geocache.
The disk is divided into three sections. On the outside of each "slice" is stamped the name of the county which goes off in that particular direction.
