This benchmark bolt is located along the old Bend-Burns Road about 8.4 miles west of Millican. The bolt is set in a boulder about 170 feet southwest of road centerline. The bolt was set by PG&E on unknown date and was described by the National Geodetic Survey in 1943.

ABOUT 8.4 MILES WEST ALONG THE OLD BEND-BURNS ROAD FROM THE RUINS OF THE OLD POST OFFICE AT MILLICAN, DESCHUTES COUNTY, ABOUT 2.2 MILES WEST OF THE T-JUNCTION OF A ROAD LEADING SOUTH TO CHINA HAT, ABOUT 600 FEET NORTHWEST OF BENCH MARK X 22, DESCRIBED BELOW, ABOUT 170 FEET SOUTHWEST OF THE ROAD, NEAR A LONE PINE TREE SOUTH OF THE ROAD, AND IN A ROCK OUTCROP. A GALVANIZED-IRON BOLT.
