Foothills Trail Bridge - McMillan, WA - Orphaned Bridges on Waymarking.com

This bridge used to be owned by the railroads. But it became a "new" bridge when it was converted by the Rails to Trails program. This bridge is near (within 200') of the Foothills Trail McMillan trailhead. It is owned by the Pierce County Parks and Recreation Services Branch.

Originally, the railbed was owned by BN until 1982 when they abandoned it. The concept of the Foothills Trail was started 2 years later.
