Mills Motors - Kingsport, TN - 1939 - Vintage Ad Locations on Waymarking.com

Was in the library archives getting the 1939 newspaper headlines for my parent's 70th birthdays, when I decided to copy a few local ads with street addresses. I had been to this location at 223 Commerce Street before (see also Waymark WM5R37 for dated buildings), but did not have enough evidence then to make a good waymark. The ad for used cars led me back for better photos. Love the four digit telephone number (5122) in the ad. The library photo archives (link below) also confirm this location was Mills Motors, which was a Chrysler/Plymouth dealership. The location currently appears to be unused - being subdivided into two office spaces (215A and 215B Commerce) and a large storage area (223 Commerce).

Inflating the value of these cars to current prices would be around $4,900 to $11,500 which is reasonable.
