"Resting at the base of the Niagara Escarpment in WNY, where thousands of years ago, glacial deposits created the fertile basis for our premium grapes. The moderating effects of Lake Ontario, contribute to a longer growing season and ripening vineyards." It turns out that the glaciers did us quite a favor on both the US and Canadian shores of Lake Ontario. Long known in these parts as The Banana Belt, the old lake plain is perfect for growing fruit of all kinds. This is also true for the area near Lake Erie just south of here.

The wines are all delicious. Some are purely from Niagara grown grapes. Others are a blend of local and imported grapes. And now, they are expanding the vineyards to grow the more traditional California grapes, here in New York.
