Grosvernor Atterbury was an architect that primarily concentrated on the design of worker housing complexes. His most attractive industrial village was Indian Hill in Worcester, MA built for the employees of the Norton Grinding Company. Construction began in 1915. The houses were built on a gentle hillside, adjacent to the the factory. Atterbury laid out a system of streets curved to fit the topography.
