Mill Town Moon doesn't mention Lowell by name, but seeing as Frank's a native and Lowell was the first milltown in the U.S., it's a safe bet Frank's referring to his hometown in this song.
"You don't have to get so excited, it's only me and some mill town sons. You don't have to feel invited, we're all here for the same reasons. Three hours overtime, it's only humpday. It's been days since the last day I've humped. I hit a pub a friend hit before me. "Put it away, Frank, I got this one".
Old habits die harder than heartache - old friends die too soon - I've never been one to get too cliche -but did you catch a glimpse of that old mill town moon?
Frank Morey combines folk and blues to create a style all his own. That said, there are some similarities to Tom Waits.
