Ancient Rock Art in Saudi Arabia is a rich source of information about the lives of the people who inhabited the peninsula in the Neolithic period and later. The carvings shows us the animals they hunted, the weapons they used, their rituals of worship and other details of everyday life. The oldest carvings date to a time before the sixth millennium BC but most are from a later date.
The Rock Art may have been made around 2,000 to 1,000 BC and can be found about 2 hours southwest of Riyadh.
