Long Description:
When the Mt. Crest Abbey opened this cemetery and mausoleum in
1914, they left a time capsule in one of the niches. All that is
known is what is said on the inscription, that it "contains
historical material", and is not to be opened until 2914, 1,000
years after placement.
Note: The coordinates given are for the main entrance to the
mausoleum. Go inside, turn left at the large circular staircase,
and follow the hall all the way past the glass doors into the
original section. The capsule is on the left of the main hallway,
immediately before the final side corridor.
Visit Instructions:
You must provide a photo to be able to log a waymark. The picture
should include yourself, or a partner, with your GPS next to the
time capsule itself.
