This benchmark is located along the Cascade Lakes Highway, about 6 miles southwest of Bend. The cap is set in a square concrete post, about 35 feet west of the highway centerline. The cap was set by the U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey in 1942 and was marked V369.

RECOVERY NOTE BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1981 TO REACH FROM THE INTERSECTION OF U.S. 20 AND 97 IN BEND, GO SOUTH ON U.S. 97 FOR 0.3 MILE, TURN RIGHT ON N.E. FRANKLIN TOWARD MT BATCHEOR AND GO WEST AND SOUTH 1.6 MILES TO A MAJOR INTERSECTION, TURN LEFT ON NW 14TH, AGAIN TOWARD MT BATCHEOR AND GO 3.45 MILES TO DESCHUTES NATIONAL FOREST SIGN ON THE RIGHT CONTINUE SOUTH 1.2 MILES TO THE MARK ON THE RIGHT. IT IS 11 METERS WEST OF THE PROPOSED CENTERLINE REALIGNMENT OF ROAD.
