The trailhead is just within the campus, by parking lot #1. It skirts around the 155-acre campus that was once the estate of the wealthy George Jay Gould, now the campus of Georgian Court University. After George Gould's death in 1908, his heirs decided to sell the estate to the Sisters of Mercy. Georgian Court College ran as a women's college for nearly a century.
Foot traffic only on this trail. Permitted uses are for nature observation, photography and scientific research (with University's permission).
