Whose double bass is this? This stone made double bass stands on the quai as if a newcomer to town just has put it down and left it there.

The double bass is carved / cut in dark larvikitt (emerald pearl), Norway's national stone. The spiral formed on the ground contains a poem of a local poet, Kolbein Falkeid.

In the sculpture you will find some small motives carved in the stone. These motives tell something about life in Haugesund.

Ivar Rudi made this sculpture in 2008. (August 5th 2008)
