From the winery website: "Countryside Vineyards is a small, family owned and operated winery conveniently located in the Tri-Cities, Tennessee area. Nestled in the beautiful hills of Northeast Tennessee, Countryside practices the time-honored traditions of grape growing and wine making.

We opened our doors to the public March 31, 1991 with three wines--White, Red, and Blush. Today, we have a variety of wines--reds and whites from dry to sweet, all medal winners."

The website says they harvest 40 tons of grapes. Another reference states one ton of grapes yields 60 cases of finished wine. Thus, this location produces roughly 2,400 cases of wine.

The winery only a short drive off Interstate 81, Exit exit 63 (Tri-City Airport). They have a yellow lab who will greet you at the door.

2/12/09 update - back again to fill in some of the questions and pick up a couple of bottles for gifts. There is no cost for tasting (six bottles were ready on the counter) and no cost for tours.
