The small fading plaque says "Eagle Scout Project, Matt Larkin, BSA Troop 51, November 13, 2001". The footbridge provides a safer path between the historical Netherland Inn (Waymark WM4QCE) and a marker for Colonel Gilbert Christian (first permanent settler in Kingsport). The bridge is still in good shape after seven years.
