Until the 1990s, PA Route 39 was located about 200 feet west of the current location - the area to the north was filled in, but the bridge and area to the south are still accessible by foot.
A small connector road to the south still follows the old roadbed - the only other evidence remaining of the old thoroughfare.
This forgotten bridge serves as another silent reminder of the past & the subtle changes that occur as time marches on.
