Crooked River, Beautiful Valley!
The American Indian called it "Ka-ih-oug-ha"....crooked. It is believed that people have lived here for over 12,000 years.
The flora and fauna is as diverse as the river is crooked. Wetlands, forests, fields, ravines and streams are so very near to the populations of Cleveland and Akron. Great blue herons, beavers, white-tailed deer, coyote, nuthatches and many more animals call this oasis home.
Hale Farm & Village - historic buildings of the region demonstrating crafts of the mid-1800's.
Blossom Music Center - summer evening concerts fill the air of a natural grass amphitheater.
Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad - runs between Cleveland and Canton year-round and offers stops in the park.
Ohio & Erie Canalway - a National Heritage area and towpath trail that runs through the park where the barges used to go.
Inns, camping, picnic shelters, golf, fishing, canoeing, skiing, sledding, and many trails are yours in this National Park.
Visitor Center hours may vary with the season, so check ahead. Make sure you get your NP Passport Book stamped here!
