Sugarhouse area sled riding hill. This place gets a lot of attention on the weekend and can be very busy. The hill faces north so the snow stays on the hill for a long time after storms. During warmer days and cold nights this hill will sometimes turn into a sheet of ice. At these times it is best used by the older, hardier kids. I took my two girls here today for their first big hill sledding adventure. They went 6 times until the fear overtook the pleasure reward. The top of the hill has an angle to it so really small kids can stay off to the side and be able to ride the hill from the top and it would not be very steep or long. At the bottom there are bales of hay to stop sledders from going into the road. There are several garbage cans at the bottom that have various bright-colored broken plastic sleds that evoke an ominous aura.
