"Saint Seraphim’s is a parish of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia. Our ruling bishop is His Grace, Archbishop Kyrill of San Francisco and Western America.
The parish was founded in 1950, primarily by Russian émigrés who were teaching at the Army Language School (ALS), now the Defense Language Institute (DLI), in Monterey. The parish moved the church building from its original location to its current place in the park in the early 1970’s."
