Alumni Memorial Gymnasium was built in 1923 in memory of the 21 Trinity College graduates who died in World War I. A plaque in the lobby lists their names.

The gym accommodated about 2,000 spectators for basketball.

Today, it continues to be used for recreation and physical education by Duke University Students.
