This light-hearted work marks the entrance to the Palo Alto Children's Museum and Zoo. Among the more recognizable critters are a butterfly, snail, and snake (or caterpillar?). And is that a blue horse?
It's tucked under the sycamores, but it's so brilliantly colored that it is plenty noticeable from the main street.
