The memorial is believed to have been designed by Sir Ninian Comper.

It has Christ on a crucifix at the top with two people alongside. Lower down is a soldier.

The memorial is dedicated to twelve men that died in the first world war and four in the second world war. Note that the Salmon and Mole families lost members in both wars.

Ninian Comper became a famous ecclesiastical designer. From 1882 until his death in 1960, he carried out at least five hundred commissions. In 1952 he designed the Parliamentary War Memorial Window, Westminster Hall. In 1928 he designed his tour de force, the Welsh National War Memorial at Cathays Park in Cardiff.
