The following description comes from Cobblestone Quest by Rich & Sue Freeman
"Sixty-four year old Rowsell Whitcomb bought 52 acres of land in 1847 for $2,800 and built his cobblestone home. The 1855 census valued the home at $600. Henry Hamlin and his wife purchased this 1.5 story house in 1957. They renovated it to it's original state with the help of renowned cobblestone expert, Carl Schmidt.
