Who Put it Here?: The Citizens of Pocahontas
Description of Memorial:
In the center of the town square, four cornered by park benches rest a highly polished black marble monument, guarded by a trio of flags. The center panel is the dedication with two wings to carry the names. Names are listed, mostly, by family groups, since this memorial is for all wars for all time, as the continue to add to it as the young people of today enter our countries service. Both wings in the front are filled, and one is mostly filled in back.
