Sacramento Valley Railroad Turntable - Folsom, California - Exact Replicas on Waymarking.com

There have been a total of five turntables at this location in Folsom; placed into operation in 1856, 1867, 1882, 1891, and 1910. In 1913 a wye track was constructed and the turntable was removed. This would indicate that there was no roundhouse involved; likely they used an engine house. The turntable is located immediately adjacent to the last light rail station on the Sacramento RTD Gold Line.
