This is the old, preserved entrance arch leading into Latham's Hospital courtyard.

The arch is dated 1601 and has an inscription 'CAST THY BREAD UPON THE WATERS'. The remainder of the hospital was rebuilt in 1873-74 with the surrounding wall. The hospital now belongs to the Parson Lathams Charity providing housing. More information can be found here: visit link
