Lancaster Town Hall is one of the few remaining town halls in the country that also operates as an opera house. It was quite common in previous centuries to house a music hall with the town's main government offices. This building was built around 1920 and was designed by George Metzger. The tower in the front of the building features a clock on each side which can be seen throughout the downtown area of Lancaster.
