This monument is on the North Carolina-South Carolina line, 0.75 mile SW of Tabor, and 30 feet W of the centerline of NC/SC route 410. The post is a 6-inch square by 4.5-foot high granite monument which has 'NC' cut on the N face and 'SC' on the S face.

The post is leaning slightly - currently resting against the NW metal post of the 'South Carolina State Line' sign.

The post is also 12.82 feet (3.908 meters) SE of NGS triangulation station TABOR (EB0472).
