P1 STA-F C/L Jetty - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

This Reference Mark mark is located on Bird Island at the extreme NE end of South Carolina & the S tip of North Carolina - just beyond the first dune line. Bird Island (which at most times of the year is actually connected to the beach on the NE) extends into SC for a few hundred feet - leaving this section of SC "landlocked".

This mark is 116.3 FT (35.4 M) SSE of NC/SC Boundary Marker disk (AJ5025).

The easiest way to reach is to travel to Sunset Beach, NC & park at the pier area at the end of S. Sunset Blvd. From here it's a 2.25 mile walk SW along a very nice beach to the benchmark - and an enjoyable geocache nearby!
