Chapel Hills Mall opened in the early 1980s and is located in northern Colorado Springs and is one of two malls in the city. The mall has undergone a lot of changes, with a remodel in the late 1990s that included adding in a Borders and an ice skating rink. Around 2007 the ice rink closed and Dick's Sporting Goods took over the location. Other major mall changes have included Joslin's turning into Foley's turning into Macy's. When Mervyn's closed, Burlington Coat Factory moved in.

The mall also has a 15 screen movie theater inside, however it is split into two sections, both of which are located next to Kmart. To purchase tickets, use the southern section of the theater. Because of Kmart's hours and the movie theater's hours, and neither one of them having their own entrances outside of the mall entrances, the mall keeps that section open past normal mall hours.

Below you will see that I listed the mall not having an arcade. It occasionally does offer one (they have come and gone), but currently does not.

Dillard's offers two-levels of parking, and it is the only store that has multi-level parking available.

The mall also features the Colorado Department of Revenue (aka - The DMV), and an additional office for the El Paso County Clerk and Recorder. The Department of Revenue only offers driver's license renewals, while the clerk and recorder offers license plate services. Voter registration forms, and other like forms, are available here as well. For more information on what services are available, call (719) 520-6240.

Also to assist parents in their shopping, there is a playground of sorts located on the lower level outside of Border's and Sears.

Stores surrounding the mall on the property include:
A coin-op carwash
Arby's
Pizza Hut
Jiffy Lube
US Bank
Olive Garden
Saltgrass Steakhouse (formerly a Joe's Crab Shack)
Firestone
Sonic
Taco Bell
Window Crack Repair (near Arby's, they always wave to you as you enter the mall from Briargate Blvd)
