This is a larger fire station in comparison to the several other located up and down Rt. 30. The origins of this firehouse date back to the 1800s. There is a nice bell and an intricate memorial our front with an old memorial next to it.

Fire Company # 2 serves out of a three bay building with a hall attached to it. The building is called “ Elvins Hall” named after the family who has given to the Independent Volunteer Fire Company of Hammonton over the years. It is located on the White Horse Pike at the site of the original firehouse.
