The butchers has been replaced with another and is now called Lingers. Next to the ghost sign stands a large, jolly butcher figure.
The Whiteman Family Butcher was in trade during 1914 when the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders marched past. In 1975 the sign had faded much to the same ghostiness as it is today and Lingers were in residence.
