Lingmoor Fell separates Great Langdale from Little Langdale valley. At the south eastern end near Chapel Stile, the ridge is still being quarried for slate. Side Pike has some climbing routes on it. Rather than traverse the ridge, people usually walk or cycle around the fell, as there are five excellent public houses to visit on route.
