Great Langdale camera, Cumbria - Web Cameras on Waymarking.com

This is a snowy day. Camera is in colour. The Langdale valley was carved out by glaciers, leaving the classic U shape with steep sides and flat valley bottom. Great Langdale beck would meander down the valley floor, except the river authority have paved its course, constraining its path. The valley is very popular with climbers and fell walkers. The Cumbria Way passes through the valley, before climbing over Stake Pass into Langstrath.
