It is in the same style as many of these mileposts along the canal. Together with the post is a plaque reading: CHILTERN BRANCH I W A 1993.

It is a peaceful area along this stretch and the tow path is accompanied by an upper path making a nice circular walk from Bulbourne and back, especially if you do the nearby geocache.
