From "Alabama: A Guide to the Deep South" (page 309):
In TRUSSVILLE, 106 m. (692 alt., 900 pop.), is Cahaba Village (R), a Federal substinence homestead project. Planned for industrial workers of the district, it contains 400 red brick and white frame houses, each on a plot of a few acres. Paved streets give access to all houses and community buildings.
TODAY, Cahaba Village is a thriving community that is the heart of a growing suburban area.
