The Holloway Road Trailhead for the Florida Trail is located in the Etoniah Creek State Forest, which is located between the cities of Palatka and Keystone Heights off State Road 100.
Directions to the Holloway Road Trailhead: From State Road 19 in Palatka, drive 12 miles west of State Road 100 to Holloway Road. Turn right. Continue 2.5 miles on dirt road to trailhead turnoff. Turn right. Park on left. Equestrian trailhead with picnic tables and restrooms is 0.2 mile up the same road.
The segment of the Florida Trail that runs through the Etoniah Creek State Forest leads you through dense oak forests and over a few feeder streams and marshes, but thankfully there are small wooden bridges to cross. It's a beautiful area and a great place to hike.
