Freedom Park, located on the grounds of the Rowan County Arts Center, formerly the Rowan County Courthouse, has several walls with names of soldiers from all wars engraved on them. There is also a Spirit of the Doughboy monument.

Freedom Park is part of the Blue Star Memorial By-way. A "Spirit of the American Doughboy" monument at the front of the park welcomes visitors to visit the massive walls behind him that feature the names of soldiers from the area from all wars.

Description of Memorial:
Located in Freedom Park on the grounds of the Rowan County Arts Center, formerly the Rowan County Courthouse. It is made up of several granite walls, similar to the Vietnam War Memorial, with names of those who served in all wars on the black granite and those who died on the orange granite.
