The bronze statue "El Pensador" or "The Thinker" is located in the Plaza del Congreso at the Western end point of the Avenida De Mayo. The statue is a replica of the original work by French sculptor Auguste Rodin in 1881.

Sitting symbolically infront of the Palacio del Congreso, the visitor gets a hint as to the mindset and mood of the people back in 1907 when the statue was dedicated.
